Talkeetna Appleseed - Marksmanship and History.

Seven fine American Patriots attended the August Talkeetna Project Appleseed Marksmanship Clinic to hear the story of April 19, 1775 and improve their marksmanship skills.

The weekend started with Alaska's first Appleseed Blue Hats setting up the range and registering our Patriots.

 Introducing this weekend's Appleseed instructors.

Followed by the most important lecture of the day.

The Four Safety Rules.

"Shooters, your first target will be the Redcoat Target...

"Hey Bill!"  "Yes fisherdawg?"  "Did you know that peanut butter and jelly sandwiches are my most favorite food?"  "Yup...I can't get enough PB&J...oh yeah...mac and cheese too."

...thirteen rounds for the Redcoat Target. One round for each of the original thirteen colonies."

Father and son.

"Let's see...peanut butter...check...

 jelly...check..."

Connor, aka Scut Monkey, earns his Luther Blanchard Patch.

  Doug re-qualifies Rifleman.

Mel, aka Taka222, is promoted to Red Hat!

The last target of the day is the Redcoat target.

So did anyone "clear" the Redcoat target?
