Back in Northern California and only a few days left until we head back home to Alaska. Time enough to visit with family, go on a few more adventures, and prep the BRT for hibernation.
Next we went to Gold Beach Oregon for a trip on Jerry's Rogue River Jet Boats.
If you are ever in the area this is a must do adventure.
On the way we stopped in Brookings Oregon for breakfast at Mattie's Pancake House also a must do.
While waiting for the boat trip we check out the Jerry's Rogue River Museum.
Kevin, our boat Captain, gives us the safety briefing. Keven is the grandson of Jerry Boice the founder of Jerry's Jet Boat Tours.

About half way through the river trip we stopped for a great fried chicken lunch with all the trimmings at Lucas Ranch.
Then it was back on the river for our return to Gold Beach.

Jimmy's Classic Drive In Grants pass Oregon. The place for burgers, fries, onion rings, and milkshakes!
The haze in the air was smoke from many nearby forest fires.
Next we spent some time at a mining claim on a creek in Southern Oregon.
"If a tree falls in a forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?"
It does if it is a Redwood tree!

The End of the Trail Museum at Trees of Mystery is one of the finest Native American Museums in the Western U.S.
Klamath River.

The last few days of our trip we rented a "vehicle". It can difficult to get a rental that will hold all of us and our gear / luggage so we often can not be picky.
We ended up with a Ford Flex. The hogboys named it the "Bugtugly".
Bug tug lee - say it fast - Bugtugly.
Our apology to anyone that owns one......
It does drive nice......but......it's......so....... Bugtugly.
